About Our Hospital

Westside Veterinary Hospital was established, at its present location, in 1980 by Dr. Tom Ellenburg.  It began with one doctor, one receptionist, and one veterinary technician.  The practice has grown to four full-time veterinarians, five receptionists, one licensed veterinary technician, seven veterinary assistants, and six animal care attendants. In 2018, we completed a major building and remodeling project to more closely align our physical facilities with the most current, state-of-the-art veterinary medicine practice at Westside Veterinary Hospital.

Our growth over the years is attributed to the loyalty of our clients.  The community has responded to our genuine concern for their animals and the excellence of the care they receive here by placing their confidence and trust in us for over forty years.  We are truly blessed to be a part of this community in providing the care our clients and patients expect and deserve.

Dr. Ellenburg’s daughter, Dr. Lauren Ellenburg, is now part of the practice along with Drs. Wilks and Mahan.
